Hello!
I have had PCOS since my teens. In the last couple of years my symptoms have worsened. I now get a fair few chin and heck hairs that I have started electrolysis for but really would like to try address the underlying issue of hormones. I would like to manage it through healthier living. I have a few stone to lose that is starting to go by sticking to a lower carb diet, though I think I probably could do better! So my questions are:
Has anyone else has electrolysis for hormonal hair and how long until you saw a difference?
Has anyone successfully improved their PCOS symptoms through diet and exercise, and or so, please could you share your secret?!
I would really like to get my hair cut short this summer but at the moment can't as it hides my neck hair!
Thanks!

Loads of my symptoms went away when I lost 5 stone (put it all back on again so I'm losing it again now!).

Peachtree, that's really good to know. Thank you. Hopefully you see the same results again! Are you on low carb?

Following a low GI/GL (glycaemic load) eating plan is more sustainable than low carb in the long run. Have a look at this instead. Collette Harris, herself a PCOS patient, has written several cookbooks with PCOS in mind.

You may also want to look at Verity's website on PCOS.
