Should I rearrange my PCOS bloods to CD1-5?

I'm booked in for bloods next Thursday to look for PCOS (will be the first hormone bloods I've had done so is all new to me).
I think I'm 1dpo currently, so would be 7dpo next Thursday. Not entirely sure what cycle day I'll be as I had a weird period but think next Thursday I would be around CD33 (my cycles can vary and sometimes be 40+ days) .
But I have read on here and also online that the best time to have PCOS bloods done would be within days 1-5 of your cycle. Is that correct? Should I rearrange my blood tests for CD1-5?
I'm worried because this could potentially lead to a diagnosis, I want to get it right. My Dr said it didn't matter when I have them taken in my cycle, but after what I've read I'm worried she was wrong.
Also with having irregular cycles it could be hard to book in for the right timing anyway, my drs you usually have to book bloods a week or 2 ahead of time. How important is the timing of this?
Would appreciate any advice on this. Thanks x

You need to have bloods done around cycle days 2-5. You need a day 2 test done to check and compare your LH level against that of FSH; these two usually are about the same. With PCOS there is often an excess of LH to FSH.

My cycles were very irregular too so the clinic advised me to have tests done according to calendar days (btw these were repeated over a couple of months too). I would go by calendar days and have the tests done on the 2nd (for levels of LH and FSH) and 21st of February (the 21st day one is to check the level of progesterone, a CD21 day test is also a standard test).

Thanks for the reply. I have now rearranged my bloods for (hopefully) day 3 of my cycle 😊xx
