smear test

Hello, i had smear test, and the gp sent me a text message "Your results have been received. No action is required." but after few hours the receptionist called me to book appointment, beacuse of the test results.
I dont know now, i have to worry or not? This is first time i was here smear test in London. Thank you

Hi - Could just be they didn’t get enough cells and need to repeat the test. Try not to worry & make another appt.

I'd phone reception back and ask why, given you've had a text to the contrary. Is it an appointment for another smear or with a Dr? They might not be able to tell you anything and if they can't I'd request a call back from the Dr.
I don't think surgeries realise the stress that these cryptic messages about test results from receptionists put on people! I recently had similar for blood test results - Dr wants to see you back about results, non-urgent.....well if they were normal she wouldn't want to see me so thanks for the worry about that for 4 weeks over Christmas!!

Phone back and ask why.
I absolutely hate when they do this. All sorts of panic goes over you and you automatically think the worse.
I have one coming up too and already panicking I'm that sort of person!
