Mini pill experiences please - sorry it’s a boring post but would appreciate views 🙂

I’ve posted before about my horrible periods (long in duration, very short cycle etc) went to the docs and she recommended the coil but as there was a waiting list she gave my the mini pill to try. I have only used the combined pill and been on many different ones which do not agree with me but thought there is no harm trying this out.
I’ve waited until my period started to start taking them but I’ve noticed it’s made this period really heavy which worries me that it’s not a good start so far!
Just looking for opinions really on how others get on with it and whether u get bleeding or not, I was really hoping I’d be one of the lucky ones who has no periods on them so that I don’t have to have the coil but this heavy start doesn’t fill me with hope.
P.S I know I’m overreacting as I’ve only been taking it 5 days but please humour me, thanks!

I love it. Haven't had a period in 5 years. Used to be on combi and implant, didn't get on with either of them.

I can't take combined due to migraine so can only use progesterone only. All types whether pill, injection or coil makes me lose a brown sludge continually with a period thrown in once a month. I had the coil removed to conceive (though didn't feel very sexy when you're losing sludge so it was an effective contraception in that sense ). DP now on list to have the snip.

I had spotting on and off for the first month but no bleeding at all since (6 months or so). The dr did say the first month I might while you adjust, so maybe hang on a while longer before changing.

@peekaboob that’s why I’m reluctant to try things that I can’t just stop taking like the coil/injection any side effects I’d have to wait out 🙄 if only one thing worked for all!

I also started the mini pill when my period began and got another random period 2 weeks after the first one ended. No bleeding after that. Threw in the towel after 6 weeks as it really wasn’t agreeing with me.
