Apologies if this is too much information but when I was washing I'm the shower yesterday I felt something painful on the inside of my labia. When I felt it it feels like a lump which is very tender to touch. There's nothing to see though, it feels deep under the skin.

Has anyone heard of this or experienced this before?

@happygertie Could it be a bartholin cyst?

memaymamo · 19/01/2020 11:16

Yep, had it once or twice in my life and it went away on its own. Having said that, see a Dr if you're worried.

Could also be a blocked hair follicle - put some savlon cream on and see if this sorts it.

happygertie · 19/01/2020 15:30

Thanks for the responses. Don't honk it's a blocked hair follicle as it's in the inside and from the diagrams / pics I've seen in google of bartholin cyst as it's a bit further up than the typical description, but the description fits. I'll see how it goes. It's a bit painful when I wipe but I'm hoping it just disappears on its own!

I get them OP, often just after my period when products have irritated. I leave them alone and they go

Sounds like a bartholin cyst. Bloody painful, but can just pop in a hot bath.
