Having a baby has ruined my sex life

It’s been 2 years since DC1 was born and thing never went back. I can’t feel much during sex, the top of my vagina just feels like skin and bone, I am loose and dry and things just never improved.

I went to doctors and they just says do kegels I bought a kegel8 and haven’t noticed my differences.

I feel like my life is over and cry almost everyday, I have been offered antidepressants but they will just numb me even more. I don’t think I would have had a child if I knew it would be this bad most people I know have had c-sections and an intact vagina.

Different GP
Ask for referral

Isadora2007 · 08/01/2020 10:29

Ask for a referral to a women’s health physiotherapist and don’t be fobbed off.

Cinderella25 · 08/01/2020 11:14

They will only refer for urinary incontinence or prolapse.

You probably have a self referral sexual health service in your health authority. Contact them.

Ridingthegravytrain · 08/01/2020 13:30

Tell them you are having urinary incontinence

Sagradafamiliar · 08/01/2020 13:38

Women's health services are fucking woeful in this country. You don't need anti depressants, you don't have a chemical imbalance, you're depressed because you have this issue and keep being dismissed. I would just repeat this to any doctor who will listen until you get the referral you need.

I was thinking about just getting it tightened but a Vaginoplasty is not done in the UK. It seems to be quite common in the USA to get done when you're finished having children.

If you feel that uncomfortable then you can get a vaginoplasty in the uk - i speak from experience. In terms of enjoyment it makes no difference whatsoever, in terms of how I feel as a person and confidence etc, massively. This was private though.

Where did you go?
