I have multiple polyps and am having these removed. Have had my pre op and have now been referred to the anaesthetist. I have had similar surgery before under a GA and never had to see the anaesthetist. Does anyone know why this would happen?

I don’t know but I want to wish you good luck!

I’m presuming there must be quite a bit going on in there for you to need GA, as I had hysteroscopy/polypectomy a few years ago with no anaesthetic at all (unless they administered something local, internally right at the site of the polyps, I can’t remember). Could see inside my uterus on the telly screen, how exciting. I think there were only two or three polyps though.

I had a hysteroscopy and polyectomy earlier this year under GA. I saw the anathetist before I went down to theatre but not before.
