Periods suddenly regular pcos

I have pcos and only in the recent months have my periods returned. Usually every 5/8 weeks but fairly regular anyway. This month it has come on bang on 28 days after last. This has never happened before in my 20 years of having them. It sounds silly asking but is this normal for pcos? I know they can go back to irregular next month or stay regular but I didn’t expect it. TMI but it is very heavy, need to change pad more regular than usual, but no usual cramps etc. Anyone else had sudden regular periods? Have recently had flu and lot of stress at work so would have expected a delay if anything.

Hi i have had pcos for 30 years. I am now just turned 48. Up untill about 3 years ago i had only had about 3 to 4 periods a year and also none at all for a few years.it suddenly returned one day in 2016 after i had lost a bit of weight and then my period started coming every 38/39 days. This was the first time in my life that they had been that regular and now they go between about 38 days to occasionsly 50 days. I havd had an awful lot of stress etc over the past year and i too thought this would delay them, but no they have mostly every 38 to 42 days the past year.

I have noticed that when i get them day 38/39 they are heavier but less cramping and when they start around day 50 they are lighter but more cramps!

For us pcos sufferers this seems to be normal!

My periods became regular after having my first child before then it was about every 2/3 months I'd get one.
I think mine are very weight sensitive. Even a stone extra makes a difference to them.
