I had my little boy in September by elective c section due to an awful birth with my first born. After my oldest child my first period was very heavy but lasted 7 days as usual.
This time my period has returned again very heavy but it's now been two weeks and it shows no sign of slowing down. I started taking the contraceptive pill on the first day also which I hoped would have controlled it.
I've always had heavy periods and have one very large fibroid which obviously grew during pregnancy. I'm not sure if its decreased in size and I know after my first born the consultant commented on how large it still was months after. Also, reading through my notes of my c section it says multiple fibroids although I've only ever been told about the very large one during ultrasounds.
Has anybody with (or without) fibroids had a similar experience? I really have had enough of tampons and sanitary towels!
