Mammograms

Just wondering do all you ladies have your three yearly mammograms , can’t believe my second one is due , are any of you concerned about radiation , I know that it’s minimal but to some a concern

The nhs do the sums to work out the risks compared to the benefit

Your biggest additional risk is probably being in a car accident in the way ther

I didn't have the first one I was called for because I (stupidly) didn't think I had any risk factors. I'm on HRT now (increased risk of breast cancer) so I have them. Radiation risk is extremely low. Do you fly? I believe long haul flights give you more radiation, but people never say "I'm not going to fly because of the radiation risk" do they?

i have annual ones due to being lumpy Grin Both my grandmother and aunt on mothers side have had breast cancer. Aunt's found early in a routine Mammo and she's clear now.

I'll take my chances with a tiny bit of radiation.
