Cysitius-got it from trying to make baby, have successfully made said baby (only VERY early stages) but cysitius still here. Have been up since middle of night wee (2am) when I discovered razor blades coming out my urethra it seems.
Back to the doctors for me....if I can ever face leaving the toilet.
Just needed a moan (also know there is far worse things I could have, but still bloody hurts)

Hi, something you might want to try is d mannose. I have suffered some excruciating pain re uti but a large dose of d mannose stops things in their tracks. Candida or excess of yeast in the body also can cause bladder UTIs. Good luck

I suffered from recurrent Cystitis when I had an IUD. The pain was indescribable! Every morning after my shift at work, I used to go to bed doubled over and feel like shit. I had it removed after about 6 months! Never came back after that.

I suffered from 4 UTI's during my pregnancy, and a couple before that too. Not nice at all.

I am going through this at the moment too, but I think it’s related to perimenopause. I’ve always been prone but things have got a lot worse recently. So it’s back on the antibiotics which I hate taking but the pain is so horrendous I have to get it treated.

I think we have to make a big effort with our overall health to combat this. I’m going to be taking D Mannose every day several times as a preventative measure and at night (I think it does help). Mine aways crop up after I’ve had wine in the evening (makes he urine either acidic or alkaline, can’t remember which is the bad one) so I’ll knocking that on the head at least for the time being. I would also recommend that you look up Angela Kilmartin books. She has a bottle washing technique and explains how the bacteria moves into the urethra and then the bladder and what to do about it.

I think this thing is all about prevention, as much as possible.
