Missing Periods - go to GP or not?

I've been peri-menopausal for about a year. The main change was that my cycle moved from 24 days to alternating 28 days and 40 days. So, on average my new cycle is 31 days. However, I'm now on to day 69 and no period.

Last week, when it hit over day 60, I wondered if I could be pregnant so did a test but it was negative. I don't particularly feel pregnant but have been under the weather so am generally feeling seedy and tired.

Should I assume this is the next stage of the menopause or should I go to the GP? And if I go to the GP, what should I want to happen?
It's a new GP and he tries to get you out the door as quickly as possible so I want to be clear what I should ask before I go.

Thanks for reading! This turned into more of a saga than I had planned!

Hi my periods have been similar to yours, however I went 6 months from march to September without one. Started day before our holiday much to OH disgust!🤪. Since then I've had a 5week cycle. So long winded way of saying shouldn't worry

Thanks Gardeners. Typical holiday timing!

Did you go to the GP or just wait to see what happened?
