Hurts to use toilet after having baby

Hi all,
My LO has just turned 3 months old, and my body is basically back to normal other than one very painful problem
I find it absolute agony when I need to poo, and this has been a problem since little one was born.
She was a very big baby (11lb 1oz) and I had a second degree tear which required ALOT of stitches. I don’t know if this has something to do with my current problem.
I’ve looked online and I’m pretty sure I’ve got an anal fissure. Is it worth going to the doctors or will it get better on its own and if so any advice on speeding up the healing process? I have upped my fibre intake and am making a real effort to stay hydrated but it takes me ages to poo as it’s so painful I can’t rush. Not ideal with an impatient baby.

You are always best getting it checked out by the GP.
