Like the title says I have had light continuous bleeding for a month now.
Normally pretty regular with very heavy flow for the first day tailing off by day 3/4. I donated blood in September for the first time after having my daughter she’s 1 now. So initially thought the light flow was as a result of possible low iron levels.
I got a letter through for cervical screening last month so it’s due, but presumably they can’t do that until this stops?
Is there any chance this could be caused by stress? I have a lot going on at the minute, I get married in a week and my best friend is terminally ill, 2 small children and work and Christmas hoopla.

Is it worthwhile going to my gp about it or will I just wait until it eventually stops and book in for cervical screening and let the nurse know then?
Google suggests the worst case scenario. Anyone else had this and it ended up being fine? Please?

Definitely see your GP or nurse practitioner. I’ve had it but heavier and was peri menopause related, so different circumstances. You’ve got a lot on your plate, so let the GP deal with this one. Flowers

Hi @Rose789, I had continuous bleeding for 3 months and delayed going to the Dr in two occasions. I also got my smear call up and rang the surgery reception and explained about the bleeding.
The nurse was able to take the smear and it was able to be read.
However, she did insist I saw a dr straight away.
The chances are it may be nothing, but it does need to be seen by a dr as soon as possible to rule out anything more serious

Thank you both.Earliest appointment they had even with nurse practitioner was 9th December so I’ll see what they say then. Hopefully they’ll be able to do a smear test at the same time
