Hi all, firstly thank you in advance for any help/advice that's received.

I had only DS 8 weeks ago today, on day 21 I was put on a Progestogen-only pill (which I had never used before) and although I was covered I never stopped bleeding. I returning to the Health Advisor and she prescribed me the pills I was on before my DS was born Loestrin 20 (which I was on for 14 years and worked a treat) however for some reason they are not suiting my hormones any more, I am really sensitive to any type hormone. I still hasn't stopped bleeding although now it seems like the final bit.. what shall I do, I hate feeling like this and I was sure that my old pill would have worked. BTW I have been taking this one for a week, should I give it more time? Thanks for any help.

I don’t know, but as no one else has replied... can you not let your hormones and body settle down for a few weeks first? So no oral contraceptives for a while?

It doesn't sound like you've given either pill much of a chance - it's normal to use one for three months before deciding it's not for you. Six weeks of postpartum bleeding is certainly normal, so 8 weeks doesn't sound unreasonable.

Thanks for the responses. Yes I guess I need to give it a chance and see how I get on. Smile Thanks again.
