Allergic to loo roll?

A few days ago I came out with a really bad bout of thrush, used the treatment and the itching and burning wasn't lifting. I have just realised after a day at work using their sand paper loo roll that my symptoms had lifted. However when got home and used the loo roll to have a horrendous burning itch irritation. I have never had anything like this before. The loo roll is from a well known retailer that rhymes with Maldi and is aloe vera scented/ treated. I have never been so uncomfortable in my life? Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Yes we have scent loo roll at work and that irritates me so yes totally possible!

I am allergic to almost everything except the Andrex skin sensitive one. Anything coloured is particularly awful and always gives me thrush or a urine infection.

I had the same with some coconut loo roll from Tesco. I stick the plain ones now.

Yes, same here with "Fresco" Coconut oil and Shea butter toilet roll. Can't use either of them without suffering!

Same, it really hurts I don’t use anything expensive just plain Aldi paper it’s been the best so far.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 22/11/2019 20:22

Yes, don't ever use anything scented or 'infused' etc unless you want an itchy sore vag.

This is like the scented sanitary towels thing, a completely unnecessary addition. Did a focus group really say they wanted loo roll with extra chemicals and artificial scents? Why?!

pinkoneblueone · 23/11/2019 08:16

The pain and itching is still here I really hope that by this evening it's far more comfortable. I really have never realised this before. Why do they mess with things like this?
