Ok so this is an overshare for someone who usually lurks but I'm feeling so anxious and would really appreciate some advice if anyone has any please...

My cycle is usually consistent, but this last week I started getting severe cramps on the last day of my period, centred around my right ovary which have continued for the last week. I feel almost swollen inside and it's affecting my bladder. No bleeding, no odour or anything else odd. No UTI and pregnancy test was negative. I've been with OH for over 12 years and completely trust him so STIs arent something I'd consider likely.

Here's the TMI.. the day before the pain came on we tried period sex for the first time without condoms. I'm on the pill but usually we use condoms for that TOTM. I don't know if that's just a coincidence..

Having done the stupid thing of googling, I'm now freaking out about the potential of PID, despite never even having BV before never mind a STI.. is PID likely in this situation, does this sound like PID to anyone? I have an appointment with at the doctor's next week but I would so appreciate any advice anyone might be able offer.. thanks xx
