Smear and Colposcopy

Hi all I’m new to this I have been having bleeding after sex, low back pain pain in my pelvis and feeling full quickly for the past few months I got referred for a colposcopy and had that done on the 24/10.

Before that my smear had came back completely normal so was relieved and had stopped worrying I went for the colposcopy and the doctor didn’t make me feel comfortable at all (Like she thought I was making something out of nothing) she told me that she wasn’t going find anything and that my smear had came back normal so there couldn’t be anything there.

She done the test and at the end took my phone number and told me she has took two biopsy all she told me was that it wasn’t Classic cells? Also that the smear is done from the lower down in the cervix and the biopsy’s were took from much higher up? Not sure what that means I left completely shocked and worried and now I wish I had asked more.

Has anyone been in the same situation?

She may have meant cgin cells which are glandular changes. They don't always show up on a smear as they are higher up.

I hope you get some news soon though. Did they give you any idea when you would hear back.?

What are glandular cells? they didn’t say when I would hear back she said she would either write to me or call but she asked for my phone number in case she had to phone me for treatment I think that’s why I got so worried because she said she wouldn’t find anything and then took biopsy’s and my phone number

I also had a pelvic ultrasound yesterday and the woman doing it also said that my right ovary was larger than my left and that I needed to call my doctors in a week for my results.
