Hi.
Over the past 17 years I have had 3 bartholion cysts,1 was treated with antibiotics and the other 2 were surgically removed. Had pain with 2 of them but not the 3rd. About 4 years ago I noticed I had a 4th one just inside the inner lips on my vagina,not sure how long it had been there for for but no pain so I didn't see the doctor, 3 years ago I had a smear test and the nurse confirmed it did look like another cyst and advised if it got larger or began to hurt to see the doctor but none of that happened so again I left it. Totally forgot about it but today remembered so I checked and it's still there,has not grown and still no pain so I just wanted to know if this can be normal for a cyst (its pea sized and grey) been 4 years now and the only professional to look at it was my smear test nurse,I dont ever suffer with it so is it okay to just leave alone for now? I'm due another smear in Feb so was thinking if leaving until then and have the nurse re check it? Was worried briefly about cancer but surely IF that is what it was it would have produced more symptoms by now as been at least 4 years?
