My friend told me my 3 year old child broke one of the characters on top of her child's birthday cake and how annoyed she and her partner were. This was 6 weeks after the event, she told me so it is something she has not been able to move on from. . I apologised as I was unaware this had happened and obviously would not want to cause offence but don't feel that this was accepted. How do I make it right as I felt uncomfortable when she raised it as she was visibly irritated. Help?

Does anyone have any tips on how to stop breast feeding a toddler? DD will be two in August and she’s obsessed with my boobs. I never really intended on breast feeding this long but here we are. I’m thankful that I’ve been able to do it this long and happy to have stuck to the recommendations for feeding to two years. But her teeth piece my nipple often now and the pain is unbearable. I’ve managed to cut down on all the random on demand feeds and only do it now first thing in the morning, bed time and briefly just before her day time nap and if she wakes in the night. She’s such a mummy’s girl and has her hand down my top constantly. If they’re sore and I say be gentle because mummy has sore boobies she kisses them and cuddles them better. She giggles and laughs right before a feed because she’s so happy. I’m really ready to stop but I’m worried it’ll be an emotional plaster being ripped off and worried how this will go. I want to stop before getting pregnant again, we’re trying now. Also, she goes to sleep in day time for her grandparents when I’m at work and at for her dad when I can’t get back from work in time to put her to sleep - though she cries for me a bit. Any help gratefully received. Thank you.

You can put it in chat and get no replies.
Or put it in AIBU and get crucified and spend the next few days wallowing in self hatred and pity.

Eek, maybe I’ll not bother! I’m not sure I need another bout of guilt or feeling like a failure! Thanks for that!! X

Hi really struggling with my 9 week old...almost every evening she is unsettled, prolonged crying and it is so difficult for her to calm...I’m not sure what is wrong with her...I hear colic...reflux...over tiredness?? Our evenings are spent trying to calm her but nothing seems to work. I feel so anxious all the time knowing that the dreaded evening is coming up, how long will this last??

Hi all, just came here as I am unsure about something with my recent job. I am currently on my probation period which is 3 months but I am thinking of leaving - would I be paid holiday? Or do I not accrue any? Thanks.

I don't know what is happening here, but as you all seem nice can I give youthiswonderful recipe for homemade pickles? It says leave them in the fridge for a month, but they're actually just as nice the day after making. We've just had them on top of loaded chips with melted gruyere and jalapeños.

Hope this works I'm new...
So I'm 17 weeks post natal. Had emergency general anaesthetic c section as the inducement didn't work after 3.5days. I was treated for sepsis 6 in hospital and discharded after 6 days. The day after i left hospital my midwife came round and removed my stitch. Within an hour fluid and blood was pouring and i mean pouring out of the wound. I was rushed into hospital after being told it was just cerus fluid and to put maternity towels on to soak it up. The pouring fluids continued for 5 weeks, with me attending the hospital every few days my crp was still high and constant antibiotics. Not once was my wound cleaned just told to keep using maternity towels on the wound. After the 5 weeks the fluid turned to thick green pus. I then collapsed and was rushed back into hospital and spent 7days in hospital on intravenous antibiotics. Only then did the hospital decide to pack my stomach. I'm now 17 weeks down been getting my wound packed daily and its not healing.. they considered more surgery but said they would need to remove to much flesh. So today a pump has been installed into my stomach.
Anyway my saga doesn't look like it's ending anytime soon.
I cannot do anything with my beautiful daughter, no classes, no swimming, no floor playmat time etc. It's ruining both our lives completely.
Has anyone been through anything like this? I'm struggling now emotionally with the stress and the whole situation. Please does anyone have experience of this? How long did it take to heal? I can't take much more...
Thanks
