Very light periods.....

Since I come off the pill three months ago my periods have been regular but very light. By very light I mean I barely even need to use a towel. The first few days I mainly just notice the blood on the tissue when I wipe after a wee, then it gets slightly heavier and then stops. Only lasting four - five days. No period pain, no nothing. Is this the norm for anyone else? I was on the pill for 5-6 years and can’t really remember what my periods were like before. On the pill the bleed was heavier than what I get now. Please can anyone put my mind at rest? x

Hi @Sarahlouiseis33 this sounds like what happened with me. I was on the pill for almost 5 years and the 5 periods I had before falling pregnant were much lighter than before and even before they were never heavy. I'd have one day of 'normal' flow (1.5 at a push) and then only need to use a liner rather than a full pad. Things were obviously back to normal though as I fell pregnant! I think it's just your body getting back into the swing of things

Mine were like this when i came off the pill after being on it for 13 years, super light, lasted 3 days, i loved it as it was easy and much better than when i was younger. I was trying to conceive when i came off so used ovulation tests to check my body was doing what it should each month, 6 months on im very happily pregnant so all was normal.
