Can sex bring on an extra long period?

Random question but I've been on my period for almost two weeks now. Normally my periods last for 5 days but I just started having sex again (like in the last month) after 10 months without any sex at all. The guy I slept with is well endowed and the sex was quite rough - I'm wondering whether it could just be the case that everything gets moved about when you become sexually active again and that brings on a longer period? I'm extremely sure that there is no way I could have been pregnant because i used pill plus condoms. Has anyone else found that this happens to them too? When I first started having sex as a teenager I also thought that my periods were heavier in months where I was sexually active...

I think you should book a doctors appointment for a check up. I personally have never had anything like this if anything t seems to shorten my periods. It's probably best to have a check up if it's unusual for you.

Dint think so. Never noticed a difference in mine when sexually actively or not. If it’s not normal fur you to have long periods get yourself to a doctor pronto. Get referred to a gynaecologist.

After my second natural labour I had to see a gynaecologist about the same issue... every time we had sex I would start a “period” only it wasn’t a period they described it as after the labour I had a tear inside that wouldn’t heal as when we had sex the cut would reopen and that’s what the blood was... They wanted to carry out a laser procedure to close the cut but ultimately I stopped having sex and everything hormonally settles down so the prolonged periods stopped...

Definitely worth going to the doctor to discus it!
