Been to the breast clinic today after having pain in one breast for quite a while, they have found what they say they are pretty certain is a Fibroadenoma and have taken a biopsy to confirm.

Has anyone had one of these and had pain as they said it shouldn't be painful but that area is?

Also I am having to wait 3 weeks for the results is this standard it seems like forever.

Ive had 3, they were painful when I used to prod them and worry about them, but fine once I left them alone :) I had 2 removed but other one is fine left :)

Thanks, what's the reasoning for removing them?

They got really big

I had one removed when I was 18 but then I am BRCA positive so they won't take any chances.

I have one I got during pregnancy but they didn't remove it - it got slightly smaller after pregnancy - I hear they are common x
