Very worried about breast cancer

Have an appointment at the breast clinic next week.
My left breast is very tender, armpit too and I have a small purple mark an inch below the nipple.
I've had problems with this breast before, feeling heavier and much more itchy than the other, many times over the last ten years. Although the itching isn't really an issue at the minute.
I'm 39, no history of bc in my maternal family but I've had one round of ivf which resulted in me having my child who I breastfed for 3 years.
I also drink and my diet has been utter crap for a few years, I'm about 1 1/2 stone overweight.
Never been on the pill although used map nearly every cycle in my early 20s for about a year.
Need advice please.

Are you having any discharge from your nipples ?

Cantsleeppast3am · 24/09/2019 09:53

@Cantsleeppast3am when you say issues in the last what were they ?

Cantsleeppast3am · 24/09/2019 10:11

The left breast has always felt heavier and been more itchy than the right.
I've been back and forth to the doctor over 10 years.
It does seem to come and go but at the moment I'm worried about tenderness, the purple mark and the pain in my armpit.

@Cantsleeppast3am when you say tenderness is it like a pregnant tenderness

Cantsleeppast3am · 24/09/2019 10:52

Not really, tbh it's more armpit than breast, especially today

From the things you have said I would say not that's from my experience. I’ve always had Issues with my breasts and after breastfeeding constantly thought I’d found lumps. Is the mark on your Areola ?

Your anxiety is understandable, but well meaning but misguided advice on here is not going to help you.

Try to distract yourself until your appointment, don't get into diagnosis via Google/ Mumsnet. You're doing the right thing getting your symptoms checked out.
