Smear test last wednesday, bleeding now

Hi I had my 2nd ever smear test last Wednesday. Was totally a no big deal and didnt hurt. I cant remember exactly when but I started getting tummy pains on Thursday and then light spotting started. Now im bleeding bright red just like a period today which is Sunday. But my last period finished around last the week before my smear so def not due on so soon.

I will make a dr appointment tomorrow but im freaking out a little. Cant find much info surprisingly about delayed bleeding. Only immediate after smear bleeding.

Has this happened to anyone?

Not to me but I do wish the medical profession would warn of the possible damage/risks like they do with every other medical procedure

I had a bleed after my first smear, is it heavy or just a gentle flow ?

Im still bleeding red blood, have seen dr and been referred for urgent colcoscpy . Im going to make a seperate post.
