Mirena Coil

Hey Ladies,

I had the Mirena coil in around two weeks ago, had slight spotting that stopped then had what I thought was my period starting last Wednesday, which would have been the time it's due if I'd not had the coil in, is it normal I'm still bleeding? Not massively heavy but have to wear a pad, I know the coil can take a few months to settle but I'm going away in a couple of weeks and I don't want to be still bleeding, does anyone know if I can ask the Dr for the pill you take to stop your periods if your going away, as in will it have the same effect?

Hiya had a copper coil put in when she put it in I’ve never felt pain like it and I’ve had 4 kids it was worse pain the child birth when I stood up I felt so dizzy like I was gonna pass out when I went home I was in loads of pain down below like when I sat down it felt like I was sitting on something sharp and I had loads of pressure in my bum like I wanted to poo next day i was looking for strings they weren’t there wen straight back to doctors and they sent me for a X-ray when I rang for results doctor said it’s theres it’s more then likely to be in your womb but you can have a scan if you want one so I said yes waited for my ultrasound to be told it’s not there went and seen a doctor at the hospital and he checked X-ray And said it looks like it could be in your bowel I had to wait for the op to get it removed I waited 10 months !on the day of surfery the doctor said why have you waited this long have you cancelled any time I said no they got it out I’ve got 4 little scars on my belly where they have got it out. I was I. Agony after the op for weeks the told me it had come out of my uterus and was in my pelvis I’m just wondering if I should speak to a solicitor because of all of this
