7 month period

I've been to see my doctor who did swaps, examinations and blood tests all of which came back normal. I have a 2 month wait for a scan and in the meantime nothing is working to stop my period. I'm anemic so my energy is very low. Any tips on how I can raise my energy levels? I'm taking iron tablets but I don't seem to be feeling any effect.
Has anyone tried anything non prescription (natural remedies) that has stopped their period? I guess I'm clutching at staws here but desperate to end this awful period!

You poor thing! I'm having some horrible gynae issues at the moment too and the more I read on here the more angry I get at what we're expected to put up with. I don't know about the energy side of things sorry but I do know that the only thing that stopped the bleeding for me was norethisterone. I'm still in an ongoing battle to get the underlying cause sorted but at least these meant that I could leave the house. It's not ideal (I think the idea is that you take them for about 10 days and I've been on them since May non stop) but it does give you a break. I hope they take you seriously and that you get sorted soon OP.

Thank you for the reply and sorry to hear about your problems, I hope they find the cause soon!
Things have developed as I began hemorrhaging and fainting due to the amount I was losing. They've given me a few more medications to try and moved my scan closer so fingers crossed I get an answer soon!
I totally agree about what we're meant to put up with, I currently can't leave my house and can barely stand up without falling but apparently it will just take time... It would be nice to lead a normal life again.

I'm glad they've moved the scan closer but it seems bonkers that you have to wait at all give what you're going through. I was told when I'm out of hours and in a consultation that I should present to the gynae ward when flooding/extreme bleeding as they'd have to deal with me. I'm not sure how that would work in reality but they did say to do it.
Which meds have they given you? I tried tranexamic and mefenamic and both together. These didn't have any impact but Norethisterone gave me back quality of life while they investigate. It also gave me high blood pressure i think but only after several months. It might be worth asking about if only to get a break from the bleeding.
