Any pharmacists/Drs/meds experts able to advise on the noriday shortage issue alternatives?

Was very organised (for me) and ordered my repeat prescription of noriday 3 weeks before I was due to run out.

Heard nothing from Drs or pharmacy and have other meds I'm due to run out of sooner and so "chased up" today to be told there's a nationwide shortage of noriday.

For me this is not a trivial matter as when I'm not on it I have all the palava pain and distress of endo PLUS it buggers with my MH which is extremely fragile at the moment!

Now I know my dr/pharmacy cannot do any more than they are currently doing about the matter, girl at pharmacy has been ringing other pharmacies all over trying to source for me and other patients.

What I want to know is whether it's feasible for me to take a different progestogen product instead at least temporarily? And what dose I would need to have the effect the noriday does?

Be very grateful for any help on this matter as it's causing me quite a bit of anxiety.

The only other thing I can think to do is skip every 3rd day.

I've tried skipping alternate days in the past when my own disorganisation meant I was late getting repeat through but it quickly lost efficacy and caused many problems

You can buy online from Superdrug

In theory - but as there's a nationwide shortage due to a manufacturing issue entirely possible they don't have stocks either. Also they don't prescribe for the reasons I get it!

But I may try calling a customer service number of theirs if I can find one and see what they say

I’ve tried 7 pharmacies over the last two weeks and all say no supplies due in. The one I went to today said it could be 2020!!
