Breast lump whilst breastfeeding..

My son was born nearly three weeks ago. Soon after (probably about a week ago - maybe?) I noticed a lump on the left hand side of my Areola. My breast was slightly engorged at the time so I dismissed it. Two days ago, I noticed it was was still there even when my breast felt ‘empty’ the lump is circular, smaller than a pea, and moves. It is tender like the rest of my breast but not painful.

I saw My GP who just told me to watch it for the next three weeks, and if it doesn’t settle down we can review it again. Obviously I’m not terrified it’s cancer 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Has anyone had this? I obviously know no one can diagnose over the internet but looking for similar sprite!

I found a lump while breastfeeding last year. Very similar like a pea and moved

Immediately jumped to the worst case scenario. Saw dr who was lovely. She got another dr in for a 2nd opinion both said they didn't think it was sinister most likely to be a blocked duct. Told me to keep massaging it when I could especially in the shower under hot water. It took ages to go away but by the Rome I stopped feeding (8 weeks) it was gone.

Dr said to come back and see her in 3 months or when I stopped feeding which ever came first if it was still there ... and she'd refer me

Try not to worry. It's likely to be a blocked duct xx

Thank you. I do think it’s got smaller but not sure if it’s wishful thinking on my part
