Prolapse bleeding - is this normal?

I’ve had a rectocele (vaginal/bowel wall prolapse) since having a baby a couple of years ago, and have been putting off getting it looked at because it wasn’t causing me serious issues (although I do have to apply pressure to ‘go’ from the bowel). In the last week it’s been bleeding quite a lot whenever I have a poo, which is every day. It’s about the same amount as a moderate period day, but slowly tapers off throughout the day after the initial poo-induced bleed. I’ve made a doctor’s appointment but they can’t see me for almost three weeks. Is bleeding just a normal/expected part of having a rectocele? Has anyone else experienced this?
