UTI - help

Hi,

My doctor gave me a three day course of antibiotics earlier this week to treat a UTI after dipping a urine sample.

I've just taken the last pill from my prescription and think I still have symptoms. I still have a strange feeling like my my bladder isn't empty after urinating. Is this normal?

I don't know how severe it was as she did the test and said I had an infection and there was "all sorts in there". I've never had one before so don't know how quickly it should go away!

Well they should have told u if it doesn't feel like it's cleared up after the course has finished to go back to the gp. I always find I need a weeks worth of antibiotics as three days doesn't get rid of it.

My sympathies, I get them loads and they are miserable

Thank you. I think it sort of bypassed her to mention that as she was too busy telling me to book and appointment for blood tests for a separate issue.

I'm hoping if I call to speak to someone then they might be able to extend my antibiotics over the phone so I just need to pick up my prescription 😩.

I'm just so fed up of it. My whole body just feels run down and exhausted and I think it's all related to this!

Hi, I went to the doctors yesterday a for a UTI and was given 3 days course of antibiotics, she did a pregnancy test whilst I was there and the first came up positive and the second negative??? I’ve take 2 at home and re looked at them this morning to me I can seee a very faint line but unsure?? It’s sooooo unexpected I’ve taken another wee sample into the doctors Aswell this morning, could it be a chemical positive??
