Cervical smear and coil

Just had a thought... could you have your cervical smear done and get a coil inserted at the same time? Would be a handy 2 in 1 job!

I did at the local family planning clinic. I went to have the mirena coil removed and the copper coil put in and she gave me a smear at the same time.
