Brevinor bringing period forward

I was put on brevinor, a combined pill, recently to alleviate my insanely painful periods. My doctor suspects I have endometriosis, but is trying out hormonal treatments rather than jumping straight into surgery.

I was told to take continuously it for three months and then have a break and then pick up for another three months, so that I only have one period every three months.

So far I've been taking it for just over a week, and haven't really had any side effects. But last night and this morning I had intense period cramps and have just start bleeding. I only finished my last period two-ish weeks ago, so am really upset that I'm back in this period hell hole again already.

Does anyone have any experience of Brevinor? Is this to be expected when you first start taking it?

Any help would be great, and very appreciated whilst I'm curled up on the sofa with chocolate and a hot water bottle crying through another episode of orange is the new black.....
