Breast lump

About 5 months ago I found a lump in my breast I hadn’t felt before, I came on my period and it went away I still got it checked at docs and they said it will be hormonal and they can come on randomly before a period. For the last 6 weeks the lump has been back really hard and probably the size of a marble I asked again at the docs around 5 weeks ago and they didn’t feel or check just again said it will be hormonal and to see if it goes down. It’s not gone down but I’m worried if I book another appointment they’re going to fob it off as hormonal (which it could be) but I want it properly checking. If I book an appointment can I insist they feel it? & refer me if necessary?

@tmh88. Is this for real?! Too right they should check it. Book an appointment asap. They're prob right about it being hormonal esp if you are younger but it still needs properly checking. Good luck x

Fab thank you @booseysMom I’m hoping it’s hormonal but I can’t help feel a constant anxiety about it! It doesn’t move and it’s really quite hard!x

Hope i didn't scare you. With the worry about breast cancer stats they should check everything out, but they seem fairly unconcerned so it's prob hormonal. Best go back anyway and say it hasn't gone, please check it again. My DM had breast cancer and so it's a subject i feel strongly about. I hope you get it sorted op. Come back to let us know how you get on if you like x

@BooseysMom thank you, no don’t worry you haven’t scared me at all! I don’t feel like I can relax at the minute anyway with how it’s not been checked! I have doctors Wednesday so will update then! Hopefully they’ll do a thorough check then!

@BooseysMom really nervous today for appointment! Can I insist on a referral if they say they won’t do one again? Ive been ok up until now but naturally thinking the worst now it’s the day I’m getting it checked!Blush just so worried of being fobbed off again that I can’t think straight x

Insist on a referral asap even if just to put your mind at rest

@tmh88.. i just think they must know that it's not anything worrying otherwise surely they'd refer you. It's not worth them taking any risks with something like this. But as foxyknoxy30 says you're still within your rights to insist on a referral if you're not happy..good luck x
