When you pee wearing a tampon does it get wet?

Pull the string out of the way of your urine flow.

Heratnumber7 · 17/07/2019 18:32

Dont have periods any more, but I used to have this problem. I fixed it by holding the string to one side out of the way of the wee.
I think there must have been some sort of wicking effect going on.
It only started after I'd had babies.

hopeishere · 17/07/2019 18:33

It's not the pearl ones. It's not the string getting wet it's the whole thing. Like properly soaked.

Try lil lets with applicator. They aren't as long as the tampax ones. Sometimes I find the tampax expand lengthways and then soaks up wee or water from the shower. Lil lets are much better.

Chartreuser · 17/07/2019 18:40

I can only use lillets and Tampax pearl tampons and even then only sometimes. Mine do the bending back things. I have found a menstruate cup slightly more successful but have to wear pads due to flooding.

Also, and this is really TMI Blush but I get v constipated and if I get a bit impacted it means I can't get anything to stay for love nor money. Plus the act of trying to go expels it partially and then if I pee it gets soaked as you say.

3 vaginal births, one 3rd degree tear 2 2nd degree ones I refused to get sutured and a prolapse (oh the glamour)

Heratnumber7 · 17/07/2019 18:42

Mine got v wet. But holding the string away fixed it. It's wicking I tell you!

dementedpixie · 17/07/2019 18:42

Try the pearl ones or lillets applicator as they also expand widthways

CottonSock · 17/07/2019 18:43

Mine don't seem to. Would a moon cup work..I've not been brave enough to try one yet. I hate inserting things up there

GreekOddess · 17/07/2019 18:48

I can't seem to wee anymore when I'm wearing one as it won't come out so I have to take them out each time. No idea why.

NavyBerry · 17/07/2019 19:00

It sometimes does. I always change it. Don't understand angry responses here. Confused what's wrong with people?

NavyBerry · 17/07/2019 19:03

@CottonSock it does work! Try it! I'm regretting not discovering it earlier. Changed my life.

JamesonCask · 17/07/2019 19:39

@hopeishere This happens to me all the time too

AnyFucker · 17/07/2019 20:09

I think it is the prolapse, love

Your womb/ vagina is pushing the tampon back down so it is sitting too low
