Peppermint tea for after! I was getting sore shoulders and patches from the gas they put in!
It was ok but I did feel sore for a few days but put some box sets by :) hope it goes well x

Thank you for your reply will have to go and get something in for the gas pain. I jus hate the thought of being put to sleep and then hearing any bad news when it's done xx

I heard something on radio 4 the other day about hysteroscopys - worth you listening to. Think it was women's hour. Apparently some women (not all) can find them horrifically painful I believe you can request a general if you are concerned about this or ask for the procedure to stop (presumably to have it again under GA). Don't want to worry you but I would rather be prepared.

Think it was this one....

good luck you will be fine. I had a hysteroscopy, biopsy and full pelvic exam under GA last Oct. It was my first surgery so very nervous. Been suffering pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding heavy periods and the scan showed some lumps on uterus so was a nervous wrec before op. Was really nervous and cried in anaesthetic room but the nurses were really lovely. I was taking deep slow breaths and was breathing oxygen mask which does help and Cannula didn't hurt as much as I thought. I don't remember falling asleep it was so quick and was in recovery in no time. Slept really well.next few days. Results took about 2 weeks to come and i was nervous but they were ok. If you feel pain ask them for pain relief.
