What is it that specifically worries, you Emzy? I think prior to the HPV vaccine most adults were thought to have HPV - 80% of or so. And I have a cervical ectropion. Unless it causes you symptoms like painful sex, bleeding after sex or excessive discharge then I don't think they are worrysome or bothersome. They aren't linked to cervical cancer at all and are very common. Most women don't know they have one unless they are picked up in a speculum exam.

I've had ectropion for over 10 years, it's only been bothersome the last 3 or 4. Finally got treated a few month ago when I got taken seriously. It's caused by too much estrogen (so in my case I'm obese bmi and I was on the combined pill) it's completely separate to hpv so one doesn't cause the other. I'd to fight hard to get taken seriously as I just kept getting told it would eventually heal and I was bleeding heavily after a bm or sex. It doesn't just go away in so far as I know once it's causing everyday problems.
