Advice for friend about to have hysterectomy

I was hoping some of you wise MNetters could help with a very sad situation. My very best friend from school has been diagnosed with cancer aged just 26 and needs a hysterectomy next week. She's undergoing genetic tests and she's got 2 sisters so there are concerns for them too which she's understandably very worried about. She has no children and is devastated about the effect this will have on her fertility - she's a nursery nurse and couldn't wait to become a mum. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are to follow I believe.

Does anyone have any advice for her pre op? I've read the thread here and people recommend peppermint tea and lots of rest but I feel psychologically she's going to need much more support than those going through the process after having children.

Any thoughts/advice/ ways I could help would be greatly appreciated.
