Parsley Tea for delayed period?

Hi!
Has anyone tried drinking parsley tea to promote a late period? I’m trying it at the moment and seeing a lot of mixed reviews online.
Brief background:
I came off the pill March last year 1 natural period in September last year, progesterone induced period from the drs in January, had a natural period last month after having 5 reflexology sessions. Was hoping this month would be back to normal but I’m now 1 week late ( not pregnant) and so desperately trying to get cycles back to normal so we can get pregnant! I’m trying everything ☹️

Would avoid using parsley tea. You need a diagnosis first and foremost.

Irregular cycles like you describe are often caused by hormonal imbalances; in this respect a condition called polycystic ovaries is a common culprit. Another possible reason for your periods being like this are problems with the thyroid gland. Both this and PCO should be looked for in blood tests. This sort of problem does not normally correct itself and you may well need some medical assistance from a gynae in order to conceive.

You should really be referred onto a subfertility unit in hospital. An internal ultrasound scan should also be done to see what your ovaries look like and whether there are indicators of polycystic ovaries,

@AttilaTheMeerkat thanks, but I’ve already been back and forth to the drs and had bloods and scans and they can’t find anything. They say it’s just the pill working it’s way out my system but normally it resolves itself within a year which mine hasn’t. Post pill amenorrhea they call it.

So

What blood tests were taken and on which days?. I ask only as bloods taken on the wrong cycle days can give meaningless and or misleading results.

I would pursue this as something could well have been missed here. Who is the "they" you have been seeing, is it the GP?. Such people are not always up to speed at all when it comes to such issues.

What were your periods like prior to taking the pill?. If these were irregular back then the chances are they will revert to this irregularity.

I’ve been back and forth to the GP and hospital for the past year. I’ve had scans and blood test to measure hormone levels etc. And it’s all normal.
Periods were fine before the pill. It’s just a case of waiting for my body to reset and get back to normal - hence the parsley tea trying to encourage a period when it should be due.

@579kirsty did it work for you? I’ve been reading into it myself, off the pill 12 weeks today with nothing happening

@PeanutButter19 no luck for me I’m afraid! I’m 18months off the pill and so far the only thing that’s helping is reflexology (which i recommend if you’ve been to Drs and they’ve checked everything out!)

@579Kirsty thanks, I’ve been to the doctors and had all my bloods and everything checked and everything’s came back fine
