why is my period 9 days early?

I'm 35 and this never happens, if it's ever early it's usually only by 2 days. It has been very painful this time too (although I have endometriosis and am often in pain) - worse and heavier than usual. I feel absolutely drained also this time and have been so tired I slept in the afternoons :( I'm also feeling really depressed, much more than normal.

There's no chance of me being pregnant, at all.

Usually from one starting to the next starting for me would be 26 days.

What are some reasons as to this happening at my age?

I have no idea why but my last 2 cycles have gone from 28 day to 20 and I have no idea why! I'm 38 and thinking maybe early onset of menopause? Or maybe just stress? No idea! But let me know if you find out anything.

Thanks, I went to the doctor because I have been having chest pains too (might be anemia (again)) and she said they can't really tell why from just one irregular period. But might be hormonal, or thyroid issues, just going to keep an eye on things. Yeah I think maybe you can start having menopause symptoms a bit early?

Either way I need to take more iron now sigh
