Vitiligo of the vulva?

Hey, this is an embarrassing problem so I name changed.

Back in December I noticed a load of lighter coloured patches of skin on my vulva, mainly on the labia majora. No itching or pain, just these light patches.

After some googling I got worried it might be lichen sclerosus or something worse so I booked an appointment with the GP. Could only get in to see the practice nurse who said I had thrush and sent me away with canesten.

I've had thrush before and was certain I didn't have thrush this time but what the hell, I used the cream. No change, patches still there. I booked a follow up.

Nurse said the "thrush has cleared up" (yeah right) but called a GP in to take a look at the still-present depigmentation.
The GP said it looked similar to pityriasis versicolor except that mainly appears elsewhere on the body. She noticed I have a couple of small light patches elsewhere (one tiny one under my armpit which has been there for years, another small circle on my thigh) and said it was basically the same thing and it might go away with time.
But she couldn't give me a proper name for it or diagnosis. No biopsy or dermatology referral. Just told me to return if it changes.

Well, the patches are still there and it's really affecting my sexual confidence.

I've noticed now some little white pubic hairs growing on those areas, instead of the usual brown hair.

Also some of my eyelashes and eyebrow hairs are going white.

After doing some research all I can find to explain this is vitiligo, and poliosis for the eyelash/eyebrow hair.

Has anyone else suffered from anything similar?
I hate it. I know it sounds like a silly thing just knowing how it looks down there is really bothering me.
