Worsening pain four weeks after caesarean - help!

I had an EMCS almost four weeks ago and the scar appears to be healing fine. But the band of skin above the scar remains really tender and sore and I think the pain is getting worse. The GP gave me some antibiotics but they don't appear to be making a difference.

Has anyone experienced this? Should I be worried? Is there anything I should be doing?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Have you done anything strenuous that may have stretched the internal stitches? How’s your temperature? Any leakage from the wound site? Are you still bleeding? Is it normal? Worse? Smelly? Might indicate an internal infection.
Might be worth another trip to the docs. Flowers

Thank you for the reply Flowers

Temperature fine, no leakage. No bleeding, but thick yellow discharge. If it were an infection, wouldn't the antibiotics be sorting it out? Don't think I've done anything strenuous (or, indeed, really anything other than sitting on the sofa since he was born!).

Could you ring the maternity ward OP? Hope you’re sorted out soon and congratulations on your baby Flowers
