Hi all, I’m 32 and have had one child. I’ve noticed that as I get older my periods and symptoms are getting horrendous. I’ve always had bad cramps and migraines but it always subsided after day one and it was manageable. Now I get horrific cramps to the point I can’t stand up straight, I get migraines that last the full 5 days my period lasts, I get anaemia, the day before I am always sick and feel sickly for the rest of my period. I have reflux that is always irritated around my period, I have also started to get seriously depressed to the point of suicidal thoughts. This starts a couple of days before but eases a day or two into my period. Very irritable and not really nice to be around. It has started to affect my life quite negatively. I went to the doctors to talk it over, he gave me microgynan which I told him I had to be taken off years ago due to its affect on me but he insisted. From the first tablet I could feel my blood boiling for absolutely nothing, it turns me into a monster so I stopped after a week. He now insists I try it for a month which I have refused to do. I just wondered if any of you have noticed your periods changing as you age and what has worked for you to help your symptoms. Thank you in advance x
