PCOS AND PERIODS

Hi,
I have PCOS and normally have one or two very light periods a year. I have currently been having a period for the last three weeks which is moderately heavy but I am passing large clots (sorry for TMI) about the size of a ten pence piece a couple of times a day! Would you see your GP about this?

I am 41 and was tested for peri menopausal symptoms last year (as my mum had early menopause) but the tests were negative. Would appreciate any thoughts/advice
TIA

I would seek medical attention from the GP; this bleed has gone on for a long time now and you could become anaemic as a result. Any such changes to periods should be brought to the GPs attention in any case.
