Period stopped a few days ago. Now I seem to have some blood when I go to the loo. Had some tiny twinges in my abdomen today. I've never had any issues with my period.

I haven't been for a smear in a long time, despite the reminders. I just kept meaning to and then forgetting.

I've called today and can't get seen for nearly three weeks. I know it's stupid and selfish, but if I tell them about the blood, will they fit me in earlier?

If you tell them about the blood they can make a judgement on whether you need to be seen earlier.

If you're worried about specific symptoms you should see your doctor, not have a smear test. It will be faster and they can refer to gynaecologist if necessary.
