Premenstrual Diahhrea

Is anyone familiar with premenstrual diarrhea. My 11 year old is suffering this every month and after the doctor asking what I expect her to do about that, she advised to give my daughter Immodium. I am uncomfortable with this as it can cause the reverse effect! Just don't know what to do for the best!

I just accept it. How bad is it for your dd?

DulcieRay · 16/05/2019 21:47

I use Dioralyte and NSAIDs
I have endometriosis and hormonal cysts though

DulcieRay · 16/05/2019 21:49

I also have to take antisickness some months, due to hormonal migraines and ovulation pain. I bleed with From my bowel, too, but that's become more obvious since my periods have become heavier.

I use it regularly (sadly). It does the job and doesn’t block me up afterwards.

SuzieQQQ · 01/08/2019 05:26

Yes I get it too. I use Imodium and also a medication to reduce cramping. Can’t remember the name of it. Bus Ian I think.

I had that for years and to be honest just lived with it,it tended to be one massive clear out though not continuous.Immodiun if it is going on all day.

fluffiphlox · 10/08/2019 17:02

I always had that. I, like others, just lived with it. And the noxious pre-menstrual farts.

bigchris · 10/08/2019 17:04

Also just lived with it

Love a good period poo, feels lkke everything is being cleansed at once

I guess awkward if at work or school because I know my teen's never poo at school Grin

CookPassBabtridge · 10/08/2019 17:43

Yeah this is normal for me, like other posters have said I don't mind it as it feels like a clear out! I just thought it was hormones making muscles down there relax.
