DD is 18. Started periods around 15 but has never been regular. (A period every few months at most - sometimes up to 4 month.) Last 18 months has had acne on her face and been back and forward to GP for help.
Acne now getting her down so Dr is referring her to dermatologist and also she's having blood test tomorrow for the PCOS . They told her they wanted to do this before referring to dermatologist but actually seems they have done already as she got appointment through today for later in summer.
Unfortunately she went to GP on her own as I was working and now is really unsure about what was happening next (other than referring to dermatologist). Will get her to ask when she'll hear results of blood test when she goes tomorrow.
For PCOS if it's that, will she likely go back to GP or a different referral? Or will nothing be done at all until she's older and want to conceive? Any advice about what should expect or ask about would be great. (As she's now 18 she'll need to take lead on it all but want to be able to prep her with questions etc)
