Anyone able to tell me how long they waited to hear anything after being referred for an urgent NHS open hysterectomy? It any kind of hysterectomy to be honest.
I was referred to another hospital for the op but my notes sat in someone's inbox for three weeks after they went off sick and nobody picked up their work. Finally found out they'd got hold of my notes only to be told my surgeon is booked up for the foreseeable future!
I was told the wait for open surgery for hysterectomies is usually 2-3 months in this area but that my wait would be much shorter. I haven't had any contact for over a month now either about a surgery date or a pre-op appointment. Is this normal?
