Brown discharge

Just that really. A week of brown discharge before a period. Only been happening for last few months. Any one have any experience?

Yes!! I'm 46 and this has been going on for a while (going into years) I'm sure I mentioned it to my Dr a while back but she didn't seem too fussed as it was a few days before my actual period was due not mid cycle or random. I don't know how old you are, but I've just Googled Brown discharge before a period (the joys!!) and apparently if you are perimenopausal it can be old blood from your last period 🤢 that's making its way out. All well and good but my period started on easter Saturday and I'd had this discharge and felt premenstrual from the Tuesday and I'm still having a bloomin period now!! So when you start totting it up,you're spending half the month basically on the blob. My husband reckons he has a 2 day window every month where I'm vaguely normal. I was debating going to the Dr's, as its particularly got me down this month as we went away over the weekend and I felt like rubbish. I'm sure she'll say it's an age thing though.
