Feels like I can't breathe during sex

Just that. Only fairly recently. We'll be having sex, everything is fine. And then my chest feels heavy, like there's a weight on it and I feel like I'm suffocating.

Not sure if this is physical or mental?

I'm a bit overweight (baby boy is 8 months). But have low cholesterol. I did have lots of pregnancy health complications - but they all seemed resolved once DS was born. I have been a victim of sexual violence in the past, but this doesn't feel like a panic attack. I'm usually mid orgasm/ very turned on when it starts to feel like I can't breathe.

Not sure what to go.

Just over a bout of mastitis - but all clear (just finishing antibiotic course). But I've g
Ft thus sensation a few times recently, when I've not been getting over an infection.

My blood pressure is on the low end of normal. Have just finished first postpartum period.

Any suggestions of what I need to lead with at the GP's?

Hi, just read that & wondering-could you be asthmatic? Feeling breathless & “heavy” in your chest is the main symptom. Do you cough? Different people get different symptoms so it can be hard to diagnose if you aren’t actually wheezing. I was diagnosed as an adult & was shocked when the dr told me I had asthma as I felt fine except occasional breathlessness & a heavy sensation in my chest so I’d say go to the dr.

I feel so much better since using an inhaler, didn’t realise how restricted my breathing was until now it’s better!

Hope you get on ok.
